Samsung To Launch Galaxy S6 Leasing Program In The US

Galaxy S6 Edge

When the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were announced, Apple revealed a new leasing program that would let you change your handset every 12 months, called the iPhone upgrade program.

Now it would appear that Samsung intends to do the same for its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 smartphones with its own Galaxy leasing program.

According to a recent report from Forbes, Samsung will launch their new smartphone leasing program in the US some time before the end of the year.

Apple’s program comes with a new iPhone and also includes their Apple Care+, a 16GB iPhone 6S will cost you $777.84 over a two years on the program, this is the same price as if you bought the handset upfront with no interest charged.

After 12 months, you can trade your iPhone iPhone 6S in for the next model and then continue to pay the same monthly amount for the new device.

There are no details as yet on exactly how Samsung’s upgrade program will work, although it is expected to work in a similar way to apple’s program.

We can expect Samsung’s latest devices to be part of the program and should include handsets like the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and the Galaxy Note 5. As soon as we get some more information on exactly what Samsung will be offering, we will let you guys know.
